Owning
Best few days I've had in a loong loong time, these last 3. Before going there, perhaps a short eulogy to surgery (for now at least haha). I went in with a lot of preconceived notions about surgery, it being slack and useless and all that. Some were more accurate than others, but anyways it doesn';t matter. This posting has lit the path for me; I can see myself doing this, I can envision myself leading that life in a way that I never could during med posting. Surgeons' focus, their attitude, all the joking and crapping, that's what I wanna do. So yes, surg over med, anytime. Of course, that's now lah; the road ahead is long and winding...
Friday marked the end of posting for the med people, and we duly celebrated as we are wont to do; about 6 hours of it. Truly outstanding to flood the shop once more like days of yore, and yell and scream like we owned the place. Other patrons might not be as happy with us, but who cares haha. And to top it off, a wonderful evening at pearll's; an evening to chill out and talk, to catch up, to restore what we've allowed to weaken in these past months. A chance to be reminded how powerful old songs are, as we went thru our favourites haha. Thank you so much for the place, the food(especially!) and the company; I was content as I haven't been in damn long.
Sat went to medsoc, and Neela and Mo's bday party. The sheer effort u 2 put in was plain to see, and I hope we (I at least :P) didn't disappoint in our respective roles. The kaleidoscope of wacky characters following their roles shows just what we try so hard to repress in our daily lives haha. Thanks for giving us this opportunity to let those inner characters come out. And while on the topic, here's wishing my dear cousin a very happy belated birthday! Words do not do us justice haha; i think u realise how glad I am that we're still close as ever, after all these years =) And er, ur photos will ASAP. haha.
Spent the remainder of the weekend immersing myself in alternate worlds, from books to diablo. For those who don't know, this is the start of our precious 1 week break. Please call or msg for meet up if u're free!
