Masquerade

This week has been tremendous, with a great culmination as well. Let's start at the beginning; after all I said about nuh surg last week, it was more or less ameliorated by this week. Attached to a general surgery team under a nice reg and a godsend of a HO, i learnt a lot more this week that i expected. And the highlight (in terms of sch at least) was thursday, where I managed to scrub up thrice, and assist 3 different ops. Surgery is beginning to appeal more and more, as a future career... All in all, it's been a very busy week, but far more useful and rewarding than the last. Let's see what the next brings

Still feeling rather deprived of those ppl I dun see much anymore (not to mention those outside med). This week has been better than most, in that sense, thanks to DnD. Hardly any m3 representation there, but got to meet several of the juniors, take lots of photos, and generally have a gd time. This year's was pretty good; hopefully we've sparked off a trend that will continue for years to come. It's rare that meddies get a chance to dress up and let our zanier side out, other than rag maybe. Again there were fancy dresses in abundance; I haven't got phtos up yet, hopefully coming soon. Good to see those at our table though =)

Medsoc elections have hotted up a gd deal, with another hat being thrown in the ring. I personally am not looking forward to campaigning too hard; it's something i never enjoyed, and one of the reasons i never joined council back in jc (cricket being the major one). It's just left to hope that things remain civil, and no lasting harm is done in the name of politicking; it's just not worth it. Let's see what happens...

Marathon prep continues; feeling the pleasant after effects of a 15 km run now. Hope all of ye who signed up are running hard too. Don't concuss halfway! haha...

Replies:

Clare: U read my mind =/
