Proof that 6 weeks of work can, indeed be rendrered useless by a single exam. This time the exam didn't count for anything, and the teacher was nice enough not to fail me on top of these owning comments, but the warning is stark. The holiday mood has never really left me since we returned from europe, and the result is here on this bloody piece of paper. Next posting I shall have no such excuse...

Otherwise t'was a great day, with an okay lunch, better dessert and wonderful company. Lots of things talked about, but what i really valued was the chance to spend some time with a dear pal I won't be seeing much for some time. Also had a chance to wander around Fort Canning, and simply enjoy that islet of greenery smack in the middle of our concrete jungle. Visiting our injured warrior rounded off the day; a visit postponed several times already, which finally took place today. Hope you recover soon...

Thank you, for an afternoon to remember, forged from this, the last week of our holidays for a long time yet.
