2007

Another year ends, and a new one begins. Compared to e 2 years before, I think 2006 was not a particularly momentous year (both on a personal scale, and bigger picture) Most of e things that happened were simply expanding on things started earlier; terrorist bombings? chelsea dominating EPL? And even on a personal scale; medicine, friends, etc. With the notable exception of clinical work, last year wasn't v different from e one b4, nor is this year likely to be.

Deep thoughts for the year only a day old. I've spent most of the past few days buried in various books and games; so much so that lines of reality are a little blur now (signs of impending schiz, no doubt hahaha) To those who got me the borders gift card for my birthday; only now have i managed to find time and opportunity to use it (usually have one but not e other). I am eternally grateful to that one present, for now I'm reunited with an old pal, drizzt do urden. For some reason, these books never seem to make it to the library, and I've to resort to buying them.

School begins tmrw once more; and yet, despite all the railing at how short our hols are, I'm actually looking forward to it immensely. From what i can see, it's gonna be like m1 m2 all over again, with everyone crammed into e LT, useless lectures to talk cock and sleep in (not forgetting to pon altog for dota/soccer). In short, to be uni students once more instaead of pseudo-working adults. I've missed this much more than I thought i would in yr 2. Just hope the passage of time hasn't damaged us too much, in this regard. And school also means much more freedom from the neverending chaos and anger at home, which I realise I've come to miss more than most other things. I wouldn't want a completely quiet house, but i do need rest from time to time...

Have a great new year my friends.

Nat: I had a fantastic time =) u're slow and steady la, dun complain. At least ur butt was spared e ice water torture mine went thru haha...

More and more I find myself in this situation these days:

"But that cannot hide the truth I know in my own heart. I ran off down a different path because I was afraid, because courage in battle and courage in emotional matters are often 2 separate attributes, and an abundance in one does not necessarily translate into an ample amount of the other. "
