The night beckons

It ends here tonight

With the passing of spots, we've officially concluded our last CA for this year. This bloody CA has caused me more stress than the pros itself, simply because of its monstrous scope. Even by that reasoning, however, this is not going to be pretty. In fact, the only reason I can feel anything remotely resembling joy over the whole affair is that its over, and with only microB and neuro left before the end of this year, things are finally looking a bit more manageable on the academic front. Pots was an absolute nightmare. If I'm gonna be this lousy at diagnosing things, maybe I should indeed quit medicine and go sell vegetables (as our esteemed medsoc president likes to say).

The worst part is that I simply can't seem to care. In fact, I feel more for those around me affected by the paper than for the simple unescpable fact that yes, I am almost certain to fail this paper. I make no pretensions of being an academic acheiver, but I rarely feel that way about any paper. Sigh...

One of the joys of having an mp3 player with more than 128 mb space, is the ability to listen to songs that I haven't heard for super long. And since I tend to form strong associations between songs and memories, these past couple weeks have been a particularly poignant time; memories ranging from kalashatvam (althotta bhoopathy!) to all the various orientations. Those were really good times... Getting lost in the past is no way to live in the present, but when the present is so unremarkable, it does fairly well as a replacement.

And btw, congratulations to the man who just ORD-ed. Can't wait to have ya here with us in YLLSOM! Truly happy for you man haha...
